Released in 1955, Lullabies for Losers marked vocalist Ethel Ennis' debut album. Highly talented, Ennis recorded a series of wonderful albums in the following decade, and collaborated with such stars as Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington and Count Basie, but after that, disenchanted with the creative direction of the label and artist management, she only made sporadic recordings and rarely left her hometown of Baltimore, Maryland. On this LP she is backed by a small group featuring piano legend Hank Jones and Kenny Clarke, who was one of the greatest drummers in modern jazz. 180-gram VIRGIN VINYL LIMITED EDITION of 550 COPIES.
